The overall quality of this box set is genuinely impressive and clearly shows a lot of thought went into making it both functional and enjoyable for in-person play. Everything included feels well-crafted and purposeful, which makes a big difference when running a smooth and immersive session.
The addition of the stat block cards is especially helpful, as they are clean, easy to read, and make referencing creatures and encounters at the table much faster. The instructions on how to turn the included material into a full campaign are another standout feature, providing a great framework for expanding beyond a one-shot and adding a lot of long-term value to the set.
The necklace included in the box set is also a really nice touch. It does not feel like a throw-in item but instead comes across as high quality and thoughtfully designed, making it a fun and memorable piece both as a prop and as a collectible.
Overall, the production quality across the board is excellent. This box set is going to be incredibly helpful for running sessions in person, cutting down on prep time and making it easier to keep everything organized and engaging for players.
While reviewing the product and comparing it to the book, I did notice one small inconsistency. The map for “Shivering Death’s Lair” in the box set indicates that one square equals five feet, whereas both the book and digital versions state that one square equals ten feet.
