I wanted this as despite it's lack of popularity, 'Tyranny of Dragons' is actually my favourite published 5e campaign. I've used this to run the campaign and it's amazing what a difference just having things like custom maps, monster cards that hang neatly over the (custom to this campaign) DM screen, and so on.
But there are some QC and attention to detail issues, which surprises me as B&G are famous for their quality and detail.
I found one of the maps has a small tear in it. It's on the edge and out of the way, so it's no big deal, but its disappointing nonetheless. Also one of the monster cards has an ink smudge, which again, not a big deal, but feels like a QC omission.
There are a TON of handouts which are great, but neither the re-written module nor the quick-reference guides make any reference to them, so it really is down to you as the DM to sort through them and establish what handout needs to be given when, which makes packing for the session a pain. Additionally: The maps are gorgeous and there's nothing quite like having a map that's specific for the area and chapter you're in, but there are maps that are related to each other, yet are on completely different maps. For example: There's a map of the exterior of Greenest Keep (cool), and another map for the interior of the keep (also cool). But one is not on the reverse of the other, which led to awkward map-swapping at the table (not cool). Again like everything else I've moaned about, it's not a huge issue, but something I feel like could have been better thought-out, y'know?
I'm nitpicking... and to be fair, between the product and shipping to the UK I paid over £450/$600 in all for this, so I feel like I'm allowed to nitpick! But also the intent here isn't to whine and moan. It IS a fantastic product that's getting a lot of love at my table. The intent is that these are things B&G can look at going forward for future products (and maybe have their QC goblins be a little more discerning over what's good to ship or not!)
Hope this helps.
