Lost Mine of Phandelver has long been considered one of the best D&D adventures of all time. Discover what lurks below in Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk, a high-fantasy adventure that begins with the familiar story of Lost Mine of Phandelver and then delves into the perilous Underdark.

This adventure is designed to take characters from 1st to 12th level.

We felt this deserved Legendary treatment. Only our second Legendary Edition (Curse of Strahd was our first), Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk is a must-have for any DM running their players through this classic, or for any serious D&D fan.

Our Legendary Edition comes packed with the kinds of high-quality contents expected from B&G:

Happy and disappointed

Love the set, and disappointed in seeing that the quality of the map paper has diminished from reviews that I used to decide to make this purchase.

Slightly Disappointed

This is my third box that I've purchased from B&G and each time, I've felt a little less like it was worth it. Rime was awesome. Tons of minis, useful maps, the handouts made sense... Strahd was good too but not quite as much, especially minis. The Shattered Obelisk almost seems like it was made by people who never actually played the game. Most of the maps were either useless or only good for the endgame. The handouts seemed repetitive and the minis included a two of the same mind flayers but with different paint and NOT named characters? The quality of everything is great as always but, for the money, nothing seems to really be helpful as a DM. Might be the last box set I buy for a while.

Jonathan, really sorry to hear you didn't love this box. It's important to note that your Rime purchase was a Platinum Edition - and those are the editions that have traditionally come with a big box of minis. If that's a favorite part of the product for you, I do hope you'll try our Vecna: Eve of Ruin Platinum Edition. Like Rime, that one comes with a box of great WizKids minis. While we included 32 battle maps, with an adventure like this that has a ton of large dungeons, we can't battle map everything and we have to pick and choose our Boss Fight areas to produce to scale. Sorry you didn't find those more useful. Thanks for commenting on the quality of the elements and I do hope you'll give us another chance with Vecna. Check out the list of contents on our site. We want you back!
